The Air Test (or Air Permeability / Air Tightness) should be carried out when the property is constructed and air tight, but before anyone moves in.
Every Air Test will have a target determined by the SAP / SBEM assessor, failure to meet this target could mean the Energy Assessment will fail. The result will also go towards the overall EPC rating, so the lower the result, the better.
Our team of dedicated Air Test engineers will offer re-tests for properties which fail, along with advice on how to make the property achieve the desired target. If the Building Control and Energy Assessor will allow Sample Testing, we will work with you to insure we only test those plots required.
All of our engineers are registered with the IATS governing body and have years of experience.
